The main objective of the project was collect continuous operational data including safty warnings from the gas transmission system and transmit it to a central control centre for interpretation and interaction, if needed, for neccessary safe operation and dispatch of gas to different gas withdrawal location. SCADA, the Supervisory control and data acquisition, allows accute monitoring of all transmission parameters such as gas flow at supply and off-take points, line pressure through the netwark, movement of gas and condensate volumes and quality of gas being supplied to the system. Futhermore, the SCADA will provide pipeline integrity monitoring, leak detection and alarm, metering values of gas and condensate at each of the inlet and outlet points, open-closed status of all line and station valves, direct digital data transmission and voice communication.
